Story

Rooted in road-trip culture and outdoor events, Overland reflects a lifestyle driven by exploration. The restored van plays a key role in the brand narrative, reinforcing authenticity, craftsmanship, and a hands-on, independent spirit.

The beer was created by Honold, the original brewmaster behind the recipe. His approach honors traditional brewing principles while focusing on balance, drinkability, and quality.

concept

The logo combines vintage-inspired typography with an illustrative emblem that references travel and mobility. This visual language reinforces the brand’s nomadic identity while maintaining a strong artisanal character. From a branding perspective, the logo was designed to be:

  • Easily recognizable across changing locations

  • Versatile across labels, truck signage, merchandise, and digital platforms

  • Consistent with the brand’s adventurous yet approachable personality

packaging

The packaging system was designed so that the background color defines the beer style, allowing for quick recognition and visual consistency across products.

The first beer styles launched were:

  • Pilsner, identified by a white background, reinforcing its clean, crisp, and refreshing character.

  • Lager, identified by a black background, communicating depth, balance, and a more robust profile.

This color-coded system simplifies navigation for consumers, especially in dynamic environments such as events and festivals, while creating a scalable visual framework for future beer styles.
